Just got a replacement engine for my Ford 3930 and it is running fine. The problem is this was the first time I bushhoged with it today. When I started I could get it into gear and the clutch worked fine but after about 1 hour of use I would put the clutch down to floor and it would just stick there. It was like the recoil would not bounce back and what is worse I can not shift into gear. the only way I can shift into gear is if I turn off the engine, shift it into the gear I want then restart the tractor when it is in gear. So I put it in first gear and drove it back to the house.
Any ideas on what would cause this, the clutch does not to appear to engage when the engine is running and I can not shift into any gear without hearing a grinding noise.
But turn the engine off and I can shift fine.
Any ideas would be appreciated
