I have a 8n with a front mound distributor and 12 v. I just jot is and it ran fine worked up 1/4 or a acre went to use it a week later the battery was dead so i busted it it did not start right away like it did before but started. about 5 min later started to sputter and staled like there was no gas.

what I have tried.

new points and condenser
checked for spark
checked that the carb is getting gas. (it was Full)
cleaned the carb
checked for stark (yes)
I also did a compression test the lowest was 105 and the highest was 120

any help would be nice

check to see if the battery is still charged ... sounds more like the charging system isn't working ... the boost put some power back in the battery, just enough to run for 5 mins .... boost again to get it running , then check the voltage with a meter... should be more than 12.5 V

If plugs are dry after trying to start then engine is not getting gas. If carb is full then jets are plugged.

Your compression is fine (the low cylinder may have a sticking valve). Did you check for fuel delivery. Remove the plug from the carb fuel bowl, holding a suitable container under the carb. Make sure the fuel valve on the tank is open and you should have a CONTIUOUS gush of fuel from the fuel bowl like a cow peein' on a flat rock. if it dribbles or is intermittent fuel delivery is the problem. The usual culprits are a clogged "secret filter" at the carb fuel elbow or the filter in the sediment bowl or the fuel outlet in the tank or a clogged fuel vent. Look for a kinked fuel line also.

Timing is not usually an issue with a front mount but a lot of bushing wear could cause your timing and your dwell angle (point opening) to be off.
If you don't find a problem in these areas and your plugs are not wet with fuel when trying a start than I'd' suspect a dirty carb or a hung float. (To check for a hung float rap the carb with a block of wood and see if you can start.) If the plugs a re really wet, you may have a flooded condition from a leaky float or a improperly adjusted float. The carb has to come off for these problems
