Snow 8ft back blade for Kubota L4740 good idea?

I am new here, tried searching this several different phrases, no help. I have the opportunity to buy a 8ft back blade for under $200, as far as I can tell from different website they recommend at most a 7ft blade, will the extra foot make a difference when plowing snow in the winter? I know my tractors 3pt can easily handle the weight it just a matter of traction and blade resistance that worries me.

I have a seven ft.behind a L4240 and a eight ft.FEL mounted snow blade.If your rears are loaded it should work...angle all the way.If it doesn't cut six inches off each side.Can't beat the price.

For the price, get it. If it doesn't work, then either modify it or sell it. Pretty hard to beat that price, it seems to me that it would be worth a try.

Not sure, not in my possession yet, I had a B2100 with a 4ft Befco blade, which I thought was built very well, and this 8ft from the picture has the same structure characteristics and it the color gray or blue/gray.

That tractor should handle a 8ft blade but for $200 I am wondering how heavy duty it is. Can you post a picture of it? Like Brian said it modified/ cut down to a 7ft.
