Actual tractor is CT450 Bobcat Hydrostatic with 2 piece rims - posted also in Bobcat forum)

I need to replace a couple that disappeared.

I would like to replace them with something a little longer, so that I can also add a Nut behind the hub.

However, what are they? Closest I could come to, that seems to fit, is 5/8-18

When I try and search for them, the closest I come is some information that says they are a Japanese JIS bolt and that's it. SAE size but Japanese?

I'd hate to get a 5/8-18, thread it through my wheel hubs, only to have it strip them out.

Anyone else figure this out?

Thank you.

The bolts are part #01173-51670. There an M16*P1.5 metric

lock nut M16

And from the part number they will be 70mm long. So if you want them longer to accept nuts you will need at least 85mm.

Okay, so I have sent an email to Bobcat requesting the information on these bolts.

-------
1 8ea 6697609 SCREW 8

2 4ea 6696255 NUT, high nut - Use W/6696792 long stud - Was 7131115

4ea 6696792 Long Stud - Was 7131115

3 24ea 18EM1632 WASHER, HARDENED - Was 6694095

7 1ea 70131457 DISC, WHEEL

I need the bolt size/thread information. I may need longer bolts than standard so I need to know the wheel hub thread size.
---------

I have one bolt in front of me marked with a 7T over a DS, 15.96mm Dia (measured), 30mm Thread Length (measured), 1.25 Thread Pitch (measured high pt to high pt, and using a thread gauge).

Right or wrong, that is what is left in the Tractor. Everyone I talk to, including here, says they should be 16mm x 1.5 pitch and 70mm long (maybe the 2 studs)

I am known for being OCD, but really, is it just me?

I would NOT put just a nut behind the wheel to widen the track. Wheel design these days depends on a flat surface with proper retention and even a pilot centered wheel in some cases, to prevent stress raiser points in hub contact. Look at your current wheels to see their backside. Sometimes you can see 'itch' marks where paint is rubbed off, even when all lugs or nuts are properly torqued. Just my opinion as a former Tire & Wheel engineer at GM.

I am not increasing the track size. I am replacing the bolts that fell out.
