I have noticed over the last couple of weeks that my SCV is grabby when I pull it across towards my leg. All other positions are smooth - but towards my leg, it grab and sometimes I have to hit it to come over.

I brought it by the JDD and one of the guys excercised it a bunch and it got better (althouhgt wee had 4 inched of rain here in central Texas today...). Another tech said this was the third one like that they have seen.

Well, they freed it up a bit - thought it might be from leaving it outside in the dust and moisture (which I have had to do lately), and to bring it back if it acted up again.....

Might just be the linkages, try hitting it all with some silicone spray and working it in. I've had success on my backhoe controls with this. It sits out but my tractor is inside.

It sure sounds like the linkages to me, as already stated. There are 4 ball joints that can get sticky and need to be lubricated occasionally.
