Well, ended up back at the dealer today for 2.5 hours.
To get the machine in my barn, I need to fold the ROPS. Had to hammer the pins out to get it down the first time. Next time out of the barn, and go to raise it - once I got one pin in, the other holes were misaligned by at least a 1/2" - no amount of pulling and twisting on the bar made them even close.
My salesmen was a little upset, as was I - said the "techs" are supposed to work the ROPS before delivery. 2.5 hours later, with loosening all the mounting bolts, and lots of filing, got it good now.
Since he removed the wheels to get at a bolt on each side of the ROPS, we switched them to the wide position.
When I got home, my Pat's quick hitch was here, so I comenced on the installation.
Now, with the wheels set wide, and Pat's on, I could switch the pins on my rake back outwards, and works like a charm. The arms get very close to the tires in the full raised position, but good enough.
And, a plug for Pat's - I've been wrestling with 3 point implements all my life. Even in the past couple years, I would see a section of my property that I wanted to hit with the bush hog, but wouldn't do it just for the fact of the wrestling with it to get it hooked up.
Well, after my installation, I hooked and unhooked 3 different implements in ~5 minutes without so much as breaking a sweat.
Very happy camper now - all is good in tractor land!
