7845 Branson
I'm using my Branson to row up bales and I shut it off at the day, now it won't start? Turns over good but will not fire. Is there a solenoid for the fule pump? Fuses are good.

Check the PTO and seat safety switches, if applicable. My 3510 had a fuel shutoff at the IP, the rubber boot dry rotted which allowed it to overextend and then it wouldn’t retract with the ignition. I actually fixed it with zip ties to limit the overextension. On mine if you turned the key to run (not all the way to start) the shutoff solenoid would make an audible click and pull in. Could have a lift pump issue or air in the fuel lines. You could crack an injector line open and crank it over to see if fuel comes out.

Your fuel solenoid should be under the injection bump attached to an arm when energized it should pull the fuel valve open. I have a couple of pics of mine on my 8050 but I can't find them at this time.

I went out and took a couple of pictures of my fuel solenoid on the Branson 8050 which I believe is the same as your 7845.

deenergized, key off

Energized, as soon as I turned the key on it sucked the stem in and the lever down.
Also it is quite easy to push down by hand, or to rotate the lever down. It would not be recommended but we have run our IH Magnums with a bungee cord holding the solenoid in the run position, when it was time to shut it down we would just over ride the bungee with our hand till the engine stopped then release it to be ready for the next start.

I think I have an issue with my solenoid. When I turn the key on the solenoid does engage and pull down, however it releases almost immediately. When cranking it does nothing.

Does your stay down from the moment you turn the key on until you turn the key off?

Yes it does. I don't know if they are dual coil units with one winding to pull in and a second winding to hold in.
But it does stay pulled down as long as the key is on running or not.
