Price Check 7800 HST pricing

I am about to purchase a 7800 HST. I've been quoted a price of $16,800, which includes LA402 5' loader and Gearmore GBS60 5' scraper. Options are Kubota 1122 canopy for $375. Top and tilt hydraulics for $1500. Landpride post digger w/ 9" bit for $900. 12" auger bit for $250. How is the pricing? Any comments on the option brand or alternatives?

What part of the country are you from? That makes a big difference on what type of deal you can expect.

I'm in Northern California and deals are hard to find around here. I was just quoted $1500 for TnT (2-spool valve). 3-spool valve is $1800.

The quote I got a short while back for B2620 + FEL + GBS 54" was $16,269. I would guess the 7800 would be abour $1000 more. Gearmore has cheaper scrapers. You can try the BB series and probably save $200 or more. I'm not sure of the quality difference. The BB-60 is about 25 lbs lighter than the GBS-60.

For the PHD, I would opt for something from TSC for half the price. I don't own one yet, but will probably go that route within the year. I don't plan on using it much, so I see no point in spending big $$ for it.

If you need a tiller, do not get the Gearmore E-60. Although it's a fine tiller, your dealer may end up charging you over $2000 for it. For $1350, you can get the KK II 5' at TSC (cheaper if you get a 10% off coupon), and it's the same tiller as the E-60! Look at the specs and parts manuals on the King Kutter and Gearmore websites and see for yourself.
