I had heard the 770 was a bare-bones tractor before I got it! There are 2 noticeable items missing that I had on the rear of the orange B7100 (another we don' nee' no steenkin' cupholders tractor :D ) that the 770 replaced: 1) multiple holes to pin the middle 3-point link. I haven't seen an issue here, I used the middle hole on the orange tractor most of the time. 2) no 'grabber hook' for a chain - said orange beastie had a beefy one as a feature on the mid-link bracket. I just want to use a chain to yank some small scrub shrubs so barring any other ideas I guess I will use a clevis and the drawbar. Thanks!

Although I think the drawbar and clevis is your only option, please make sure you have weight on the front of that 770! Also use your seat belt!

Small scrub shrubs might have a pretty substantial root system. That, in combination with solid soil conditions (meaning not sandy or loose) is a pretty good set up for a rear roll over...so be very careful!

Something to really think over --- wouldn't want to get up a good head of steam and hit the end of the chain and those roots not givin' up first!!

As well, if I understand correctly, the Kubota had a hook on the center link mounting bracket? That would put your center of gravity point even higher up and making it even easier to lift the front wheels off the ground.

Not to mention the fragile nature of the bracket and maybe cracking your rear differential housing.

I don't think I'd be pulling off of that...

Thanks guys. Yeah, the grab on the B71 was high enough to make the little beastie do wheelies. The 770 has some grunt, model 70FEL keeps the front loaded and I can add rocks and dirt at will. I just do a 'pull' not a 'snatch' - snatch chord is for the 3/4 ton truck. GR70 3/8 chain is too, but its what I use behind the Deere. No worries, was holly I tried to discover a bunch of suckers off a large stump:( . Oh well.
