I just overheated down here in sunny florida. My 755 was serviced two months ago (when they forgot to dump the oil before adding fresh which I just caught) I dumped the overfilled changed the oil. I have hardly run the machine and now it is overheating ( i was working her pretty hard scraping a lawn) Anyone want to offer me an order of operations because I am unfamiliar with the mechanics of this machine and honestly am new to the tractor mechanically.

Welcome to TBN:D

They are really simple machines, the cooling system is very similar to a automobile's.

Start with checking the coolant level in the radiator, and making sure the radiator and screen are clear of debris. Also check that the belt is tight.

kennyd gave the 3 most common reasons and probably covers 95% of the issues. Could add bad thermostat stuck shut but would probably over heat quickly. Occassionally could have internal plugging within the radiator.

These are all good tips, here is something else to consider though. The 755 has a front mounted fuel tank in front of the radiator , spilt fuel attracts dust and could cause a build up on the front of the radiator. This would obstruct the air flow and would be hard to see with the design of the tractor.

There is a removable filter screen between the fuel tank and the radiator. Pull the end of the large air intake hose out of the hole at the tractor front, push it aside, and lift the filter out for cleaning.

Great news...I filled the radiator back up with some water, washed the crud out of the cooling fins checked the belt and away I went and havent overheated yet! Thanks guys! I need a new water pump belt on there its a little rough an crispy..... anybody know anything about a hitch thats suppose to go on it? There is a insertion point with a hole for a pin right below the rear pto but I cant believe that anyones suppose to get a pin down through that hole. I want to attach a 4' york rake to it. I love this little tractor.. It was my pops and was shipped to me from up north but I do believe that there are some pieces missing...

Glad it is running cool now.

What you are missing is the drawbar. The hole is for the pin to hold it. The pin needs to go in from the bottom and the clip is on top.
