I ordered a new tractor and while I'm waiting for it to come in the dealer has loaned me a 7274 with a FEL. So far I have made the following observations:
Pros: I bush hogged a 5 acre field of 18" thick grass (5' mower) and the engine never bogged down.
Cons: Road gear is deathly slow, engine noise is much louder than other compact diesels that I've used.

I've had my 7264 about 10 months .
I have no complaints at all so far, albeit it a little noisy. (I wear hearing protection even with a lawn mower)
However, my buddy has a 24 hp kubota, hydro that is just as noisy.
My tractor runs about 10 -12 mph in Hi range on the road, which seems plenty fast for me.

My 7260 clocks out at about 14.5 MPH. Seems a little slow until you hit a good bump in the road. jeez, i wish i had a suspension under my seat like my brother's big John Deere has...

This tractor has industrial tires and barely hit 10 mph, that was full throttle, wide open.

Another good thing about the Cub is that the loader joystick is mounted forward so you can get on and off the tractor from the right side if you want. Little things like that add up. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
