I have a 3720 JD and 300cx loader with skid steer carrier attachment but no bucket yet. (Currently using my prior kubota bucket.) The 72" quick tatch standard bucket is recommended but I can't find any dimensions other than weight which is 485 lbs. Dealer hasn't been able to find dimensions either. I think this bucket may be too big/heavy. Can anyone give me the rough height and depth demensions? Capacity?

My other choice is the 66" JD foundry bucket which weighs 394# and has a height of 27" and depth of 26".

(Standard 61" non-quick tatch bucket is about 19" high and 23" deep.)

I have the 72" materials bucket for my 4310-300cx, 32 h.p. handles snow and light soil no problem, I use the 61" heavy duty bucket for digging and heavy gravel, if your tractor has more h.p. then the 72" bucket would be ok if your model has less H.P. the 72" would not be good except for light snow. It's called a light material bucket but it is not light duty at all, can't remember the volume but it's alot more than the 61" bucket as it's much taller and deeper, got it for snow removal mainly, can give you any dimensions you need. attached picture of 61" bucket inside the 72" bucket.

Seems like I found that somewhere on JD site. I have one. I know it is a little over 9/10 of a cubic yard. Have it on my 5203. Just use if for prickley pear. Seems like it might be a little off balance with a load of dirt--especially if not on level ground.

I gave you the wrong info. My bucket is the 85" high volume listed under the 520 loader. The 73" materials bucket shows a capacity of .68 cu yard. I did not see bucket specs for the 300x. Did not see weight for any of them. Sorry.

The 3720 has 44 hp, however, the frame size is probably only slightly bigger than a 4310 and the 72" bucket seems to be too much. Does your loader have the skid steer carrier attachment? If not then the 72" bucket I am looking at is different. At 485 lbs, I would not call that a standard or light duty bucket. On the JD website the 72" bucket I am looking at is black in color. My kubota bucket on my 3710 weighs about 230-240 lbs and is 66" wide by 22x22 in depth and height. I want a little more capacity and strength but not a bucket approaching 500 lbs.
I did put a JD 66" utility skid steer bucket which weighed 479 lbs and measured 27.6" in height and 35" in depth and that thing seemed massive on my 3720 Jd. Good light materials or snow bucket but no way could it lift a load of dirt. That bucket was much more heavy duty than the usual standard JD CTL bucket. The 72" bucket I am looking at is wider but I suspect the dimensions may be just as big. I don't want the depth of a low profile bucket due to poor rollback/breakout strengh on the loader because the long depth which is often 35-37". My ideal bucket would be 66" wide, and about 24x24 height and depth and weight 325-350 lbs. Any competitor's bucket or aftermarket bucket would be ok.
Thanks for the picture of the 2 buckets.

radman, a skidteer bucket is designed totally different than a tractor loader bucket. The skidsteer bucket is going to have alot longer bottom than the tractor bucket. If it did not you would not be able to see the cutting edge, which is an important thing in a skidsteer. They are also designed alot heavier than a CUT bucket. What is it you are hoping to gain by using a skidsteer bucket on your tractor?

The typical skid steer construction bucket, which is by far the most commonly used, has a long depth and generally referred to as low profile buckets. Like you said it allows visualization of the cutting edge by the operator of the skid steer but not for a CUT. I don't really want a typical skid steer bucket which is much heavier duty than a CUT bucket. However, the recommended bucket by JD for the 3720 with skid steer attachment carrier is the 72" which is heavier and I suspect carries more then the similar width JD skid steer buckets. I want to know the size before I buy one and then not happy with it. The other recommended buckets are the skid steer type JD buckets used on the 110 TLB. Most of the skid steer buckets are actually cheaper in cost, more heavy duty and higher in capacity than the same width CUT bucket.
I don't know why JD doesn't just put a skid steer plate on one of their normal CUT buckets rather push me toward a too large and heavy 72" or skid steer bucket. My guess, is the skid steer plate won't fit on the CUT bucket or JD doesn't sell many CUT loaders with skid steer capability which is a shame. I believe other companies like Kubota just take the normal bucket and just weld on the skid steer plate rather than making an entire new line of buckets. May have to buy kubota bucket and paint it black or green.

I have not looked real close at a 110, but I would think it would be closer to what you are looking for. If they have the SS bracket.

I would think in the not too distant future most CUTs will have the SS mounts making them alot more versatile

The TLB 110 buckets are actually the JD skid steer buckets. If a JD CUT dealer sells the 110 then, they have access to the skid steer buckets. If a CUT dealer does not sell the 110, then they cannot sell the skid steer buckets. My dealer does sell the 110 but not skid steer loaders. The JD skid steer foundry bucket is probably the only bucket close to a CUT bucket but is still heavier and larger in capacity. The foundry bucket is shorter from the bucket heel to cutting edge to provide maximum breakout force for digging. (27" high x 25" depth).
