The title pretty much asks the question, but the backstory is that I found a used 72" Bobcat Finish Mower for sale that I ended-up buying. During the inspection of the mower, I did find that the blades badly needed sharpening. I think there's plenty of meat left to grind on when I take the blades to the local sharpening guy, but if not I was wondering if there was brand/type of blade (e.g. Oregon?) that might be recommended. I can get the Bobcat part, but Bobcat (other than maybe hydraulic fluid) seems to put a pretty heavy price tag on their stuff and I have yet to find a place to order Bobcat parts online. (My nearest Bobcat dealer is about 70 miles away.)

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Measure the length and center hole and get on a mowing website and order some for probably $15 a blade. Do you have a picture of yours?

Local, Amazon, eBay, etc.. no magic in most blades.. length, center hole, thickness, style (high lift, etc).. I bought mine off Amazon just for convenience.

No pic as I haven't taken delivery yet. That's tomorrow's job.

I had to do quite a bit more to find blades. I could find 'almost' but not exact. Combination of length, width, thickness and center hole was a bit uncommon and none of the major brands crossed. More or less accidentally stumbled onto a clone offered by Northern Tool. A little more digging showed that it was made by the same company and from there I could get a match at their parts service. Paid something less than $75 for a set of three. Since BC likely didn't make their own mowers, it was probably made by one of a handful of OEM suppliers.

The book says the blade is 5/16 x 2.5 x 25" and you should replace when blade is sharpened past 2.25" (1/4" gone).

Thanks to all who responded. Here's a bit of a wrap-up... I removed the three blades and, as it turned out, when I checked-out the blades at the seller's place I accidentally picked the worst of the three to examine for wear/damage. There's plenty of meat left on all the blades, so no new blades are required. I did do a bit of research, though, in case new blades were going to happen. Other than the Bobcat blades, I didn't find anything that would simply bolt-on. The middle hole of the three holes on each blade is 1.2" in diameter and I didn't find anything with a center hole that big. Nor did a find a blade that had a 5.5" center-to-center dimension for the outboard holes. (BTW, the center hole is simply to access a bolt head..the two outboard holes actually fasten the blade to the rotating gizmo.) FWIW, the two outboard holes are .5" in diameter.

We still have between 12"-18" of snow...so the sharpening dude won't need to be in a rush.
