716B Snowblow for TC29D

Hoping that someone here could provide some info., or a lead to the info.

I have found a used 716B (60" front) snowblower that I would like to use on my TC29D. The price is OK, and condition very good. My question is that it came off a 33D with super-steer so I was told by the seller that it has a different mounting frame and it wouldn't work on my non-SS.

Does this make sense? Any comments on the 'packaging' differences around the front axle or SS 'stuff' would be helpful.

Maybe I'll need to make a trip to a dealer to look through some manuals or part lists to sort it out. As I bought the tractor used I don't have an established relationship with a dealer to try to sort it out over the phone.

I've called about a new snowblower (63csh model I think) and it's probably more than I'm willing to spend. What would be a good price on that set up? I have ~1000ft of paved driveway so a snowblower is my first choice, and a rear blade the second... not trying to start the blower vs. FEL vs. rear blade debate!

Eric,

I know the loader mounts for the non super-steer are different from the super-steer. I also believe your front end is shorter on the non super-steer. That is probably why the dealer is telling you it won't work. But maybe with some enginuity you could make it work. If your getting a good price you may be able to afford spending some extra to change the mounting. I have a TC29D with Super-Steer and wished I could afford the blower. You do have another option and get a 3 point one. Hard on the neck but it may work for you.
