Mahindra 3616
I have a 3616 that I used last year to make hay. Great experience with the machine, but it is pretty light to be pulling a square baler on the hills in this area. There is a 6530 for sale locally that I am interested in to upgrade to a bigger tractor. When I look at the 6530 reviews there seem to be more negative than positive comments that make me wonder if others have had any negative issues with a 6530 that I should consider. The one I am looking at is a 2014 model with 65 hours on it. Another option is a new 5555. The prices are Nealy the same. What are your thoughts on which machine you would go with if it were you? Thanks for any input.

I have a 5530 (which is for sale locally) which is an incredible machine. Originally purchased to make hay with, but never did. DO not have experience with the 6530, but if it the same as my tractor but with a larger motor, it's a beast! Drop me a line if you have any specific questions...

Its usually tinkering issues with these big 3cyl tractors. Let the fuel sit long enough it will gum up at the tank outlet.. braided fuel lines... couple bolts needed tighten here and there... linkage adjustment... other than that they are great tractors and will push/pull/lift like no other

not one complaint with my 5530. the 6530 is pretty much the same tractor. Good hard workers in my opinion.

the 5555 is the tier 4 replacement for the 5530. so it may not have the remotes you want on the rear.

I added third function for the front, and 1 remote for the rear (wish I had 2).to my 5530.

the 6530 Had dual remotes standard.Larger/ wider tires, more pto hp........ for haying, you may want as many rear remotes as you can get.

my 5530 and the 6530 have the same engine, loader capacity, and probably pretty much every thing else. The 6530 is Just turned up a little. is my guess. Oh and the 6530 is heavier...so that comes from somewhere.?.

we don't even stock the 5555 anymore due to the difference between it and the 5570 being about 3k its just a no brainer. Now the 5545 is a good buy if your not needing the PTO power and more of a HD loader tractor with a smaller footprint..

Id also say if your talking about both of these your looking at being 4wd and new the 6530 is the way to go... if its a used 6530 that's a bit high to be at a new 5555s price.... we ran out of 6530s over a year ago

Thanks for the info. Every review I have seen for the 5530 has positive comments, which surprised me when most of the 6530 reviews were negative.
