'65 JD 2010 Diesel positive ground starter.

The thing is worn out! Prestolite 10 tooth, gear opening on left hand side, NO solenoid, uses a mechanical copper button on inside to engage starter to fly wheel. Any you old timers have parts laying around to rebuild or have an alternative. Can't find a salvage one anywhere - several have sent replacement and they physically won't fit in the tractor for a number of reasons. IDEAS?????

Yes - I have idea. Make photo and check dimensions of elements .After that insert link to Your photos .Maybe Your (or similar) starter work in other devices..
