I've got a 6210, 1999 vintage. After running awhile, the rock shaft does not want to lift. I'll stop and work the control for what seems like 30-60 seconds, and suddenly it lifts. Then a while later, same thing. When it works, it works completely correctly. When it doesn't work, it drops but won't lift. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm not very familiar with JD tractors built after the 55 series but I think the rockshaft is electronically controlled. If so this part(AL116824 HITCH CONTROLLER),wiring or switch could be the culprit.

If you have old wedding cake controls replace it with new slide type these were always giving trouble

When it fails to raise, have you tried the fender switch? Have you tried both controls in cab?(slide control and rocker switch). If none of the switches work, then I would suspect wiring between the controller and the stepper motor.

Either that.... or it's minus 21 degrees F and JD doesn't make a transmission heater!! (That happened just last week! Toggle, rear fender, slide control - it didn't matter where or what I did.)
