60\" MMM for B7500

What are used 60" MMM going for? A fair price.

Good shape. 3 years old June. New blades last spring. Normal nicks, scrapes etc.

ZTR fever has a holt of me... I hate it when I get in these moods. Though if'n the price was right on the buying the ZTR and selling the 60" MMM.... who knows what Bo might do....he's crazy like that.

Re: 60\" MMM for B7500

Bo,

I think linking the ZTR to the MMM might be a mistake.

Doing so could lead to the delay of the purchase of the ZTR! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Don't know what your mower might be worth. I traded in a year-old RFM with almost no hours on it last summer and lost about a third of what I paid new... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

So my guess would be depending on condition somewhere between 50 to 75% of what the price new today if would be...if you were selling to a private party... less if it is well worn...

Re: 60\" MMM for B7500

I'm glad this subject is being brought up. I own a B7500 and was thinking about buying a MMM for it but I still could'nt get to close to my trees and in those tight spots and for the money I could just about buy a ZTR mower.I went out looking at a few ZTR's today and found one I really like but I would like to know what you would do? MMM or ZTR????????????

Re: 60\" MMM for B7500

Hustler makes a small ZTR called the Fastrac that sells for under 4,000 dollars with up to a 54 inch cut and super sturdy deck and construction. Very nice looking unit. Still, what are you going to do with a 7500 and no mower deck? My 2410 does OK with the 60 inch. There are places it cannot get into and I do mulch out around my trees. Places I cannot get into I use my bigwheel trimmer or Lawnboy. I am glad I have my MMM but I would not mind tht Fastrac as well (read as in addition to). J

Re: 60\" MMM for B7500

I have a tiller, BB, rotarty cutter and FEL for the B7500.

I'm just being curious. I looked at some Dixon ZTRs and the word WOW explains it all. I priced two one was about $6,000 the other $4,500. The $6,000 was last years demo model of an industrial ZTR with 18 hours, the other a new one that rivals the new Cub Cadet ZTR. Both had 50" cuts.

The decks on the Dixon's are about 1/4" steel and are built to last. Dixon expects every mower to last at least 20 years before doing any major work and the dealer said if you do the maintenance...change the oil, grease etc 25 years shouldn't be a problem.

I told him it took me about 2.5 hours to cut the yard with my 60" MMM and he said the Dixon would cut that to just over an hour!

They also sell a couple other brands that are less expensive and you see at many other dealers, and he stated that they are really good ZTRs but he didn't expect them to last near;y 20 years or to have as good a cut as the Dixon (who invented the ZTR).

I ain't doing nothing just yet....just curious.

Re: 60\" MMM for B7500

The one I'm looking at is the Cub Cadet 44" cut Z Force. It's on sale for 3599.00. I rode it today and it was nice. I would just have to get used to the 0 turn. I still have my 5' RFM for my B7500 for my bigger projects. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: 60\" MMM for B7500

I think the ZTM is a great idea. In fact, that's why I finally decided on a L3130 with the big 723 FEL. I get the bigger tractor for clearing, landscaping, pond maintenance and other big jobs I just couldn't do with a smaller tractor and as things start getting done in the next few years just take my time finding a good deal on a machine designed specifically for mowing. Can't have too many toys..er tools right? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

How dare you call this instruments of work toys! I'm ashamed you'd put that in print on the internet...there may be wives that see this!
THESE ARE TOOL! Necessary for work : )

I looked at the New Holland ZTRs today.. Oh baby!!

Re: 60\" MMM for B7500

Comparing the Hustler to a Dixon is a pretty good match. I like the Hustler better, both are very stout. I see a lot of commercial companies with the Hustlers. Some of the Hustlers can mow at 15 MPH /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif. I may get one someday down the road too. J
