60\" MMM deck cracked
Discovered crack in the mower housing last weekend. It cracked at the left front, on the side. If you feel of your housing it has a "cup" where it was welded. Took it to the dealer and he said that welding it would work well but that they needed to check with Kubota. He called me yesterday and told me the Co. wants to replace the housing. Of course there were the usual questions asked both of him and myself about owner abuse (there was none) and they decided to replace the deck. The deck only, the gear case and all the mechanical stuff will have to be re-attached to the new housing. I really thought they would opt to weld. I wonder if anyone else has heard about decks cracking??
