6\' rear discharge finish mower Q&****
I am looking at 6' rear disharge finish mowers to go with my new Kubota L2800 4wd that I just ordered. I was at the local TSC and noticed the KingKutter 6' RDFM for $1,295.00 and it grabbed my attention> It seemed to be very thick steel and made good but, the center/upper 3pt link with it's 2 front and only one rear/3rd link and chain for the support of the mower kinda worries me. After looking at the Befco and WAC brands with their 3pt upper/center 4pc center link braces makes me like their extra support bars for peace of mind.
The Befco was $2,195.00 for the C50 and the WAC(which I understand is from SICMA) is $1,495.00. The $1,295.00 deffinitely seems attractive but, is it worth it? The KK website makes mention of their 3 bar attachment design allowing the mower to tilt up to 16" independently from side to side rather than remainig level when mowing on off-camber situautions. I also noticed that the KK tip speed is 18.463 vs the Befco 16.732 which leads me to believe that the KK could produce a tad smoother cut. Please drop your opinions and experiences with the different brands to help me make a decision on the purchase. Thanks,LB /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
