5725 dead dash

I recently purchased a 5725 and it has a few issues i need to work through. First is the dash board is completely dead. Tractor starts and runs good. Head lights work but the dash is completely dead. No lights, tach,fuel guage or warning lights. Wonder if anyone has any in site on this and possibly a wiring diagram for this model.

I don't have a wiring diagram but, just thinking out loud I wonder if it's just a loose connection on the wiring harness somewhere under the hood or behind the cluster.

Ya. Thanks for that… i pulled the dash and wiggled all the connections. They seem tight and clean. Someone has to have a workshop manual for this. All the fuses are good.

If you physically go to your local JD Parts/Service Department they will print off a wiring diagram for your 5725... for free. You may be able to quickly discuss this problem with a mechanic.

This has been my experience at my JD Dealership.

Update. Thank you all for any tips. Went to dealer, bought bunch of stuff, asked for wiring diagram and the service guy pulled it for me showed me the 3 powers into the display and the one ground. Mentioned to make sure ground at front of tractor by the battery is good as this is known issue. Cleaned ground, chased wires for 2 hours…. Back to the fuse box…. Where i found open fuse… looked good but checking with ohmmeter was bad.
Sooooooo the moral of the story is, when someone tells you “check the fuses” you had better do a better job checking them in the first place!! Thank you all. Oh and here is a pic of the cluster wiring diagram in case someone else needs it in the future.

Good stuff Keith, I'm glad that my advice to physically talk to your JD Service 'guy' was accurate in both the wiring diagram and the information provided.

My father inlaws 5425 would crank & run but dash was dead & power reverser wouldn’t take gear.
his ignition switch was bad.
