What are you guys using for replacement fluids in the 5600 diffs and hydraulics?
Seems to be very little info on viscosity and after market fluid compatibility. With the history of drive motor problems I just want to put the best fluids possible in the hydraulic system. Anyone know if propylene glycol is absolutely necessary for the cooling system?

snowcan,

I have used both Bobcat brand hydraulic fluid as well as other quality brands. I don't think its an issue as long as the fluid has the same rating. However, I would not advise using non-glycol antifreeze. I believe (have been told) it will creat major problems down the road. My 380SL Roadster requires special antifreeze as well. Hope this helps.

Other than motor oil, I use Bobcat fluids. I would like to use Chevron Synthetic THF for my hyd fluid as that's what I use with my Kubota tractor, but I don't know if it's cool to use that or not in my Toolcat. I'm not too familiar with hyd fluid ratings and the Bobcat All-weather fluid doesn't seem to be out of line price-wise.

Does anyone know what the spec is for the hydro fluid other than VG 46, Min. VI 150 ?
