Hello Folks and thanks for assistance.
Recently purchased a 2000 New Holland 555E backhoe. Presently doing repairs / service and have two issues which I haven't been able to resolve.
1. When I push the hazard button it lights up but nothing flashes. Both turn signals work fine (unless you push hazard button then neither works). Two dealers think the problem is the flasher unit ($95) but neither is willilng to agree to take the part back if this is not the problem. Is there a way to test the flasher unit (dealers don't think so and just want to sell the part)?
2. I replaced all the dash & right side instrument rocker switch bulbs. However when I turn the ignition switch to on, most of them light up regardless if the switch is turned on or not. I'm not sure if this is just normal or if there is some kind of electrical problem causing it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Dealers are not helpful other than advising to try new parts or to bring machine into their service department.
