54" deck locked in up position

I was reinstalling my 54" deck on X728.

the lift arms cam down fine.

I attached the deck fine.

I lifted the deck to adjust the gauge wheels and now it will not go down.

the adjuster is in 5" position from having the snow blower on.

the height adjuster know will not move.

the lockout valve is turned all the way out.

so far I have left the deck on.

PTO works fine.

any help is appreciated.

got it!

disconnected deck from lift arms.
turned lockout valve all the way in.
started tractor and exercised levers.
shut it of and turn valve out again.
started up and worked fine.

not sure, but it might have had something to do with height knob at 5 and lifting deck all the way up with the deck on.

everything works as it should now.

I have seen this problem....o.k. ....if the lift arms are not adjusted properly they will come up and touch the frame of the tractor before the hydraulics stop at full travel, then, if you lock the height adjuster at full height it will wedge itself solid to the frame. simply adjust the arms (the threded knuckle) a little longer till they no longer touch the frame.....good luck
