5205 PTO Failing

Using my tiller. The PTO engages, but as soon as the tiller hits the ground it stops. No load on engine when it happens.
It worked fine in the fall. Was giving me trouble but working last week. Now will not take any load.
Any help, explanations on how the clutch works, etc. will be appreciated.

First.. does that tiller have a slip clutch, or a shear bolt as drive line protection?? If so.. make sur ethe shear bolt is not shorn.. or the slip clutch atach bolt is not shorn, or the clutch is not slipping.

If yo have another pto implement.. check it out to see if your tractor pto is working.

Your owners manual has a section on adjusting the PTO linkage. I had to adjust mine.
