I bought a new 2012 5093e with 563 loader last march. I was impressed with the new cab layout and some areas of the tractor looked alittle more heavy built. I considered a M series but couldn't justify the extra cost. I added the right hand door. It was one of the best things I did. I use it all the time. I added mirrors later on in the hay season because I was out on the road alot. This helped to see around the baler and wagon on the road. The other options I added was the power reverser modulator and wheel weights and fluid. It dynoed at the dealer at 88 pto horse power.
I have put 175 hours on it so far. I feel it has plenty of power to do whatever I need right now. It will do 22.8 mph on the road. My first impressions was that it is somewhat light in the rear end. The tractor will dig and move dirt like crazy. It handled the IH 3309(same as New Idea 5209)and a Vermeer 5410 without any trouble at all. It pulled my 11 round bale wagon with ease.
It took some time to get use to my first turboed tractor. I was use to useing an Oliver 1655 and White 285. They are 6 cylinders that could lug down low and pull out of it. I just love the tractor. With 0 percent financing it was hard to buy used and wanted to buy before full emissions made it to the e series. When your in the hayfield and the bugs and dust are flying around it is nice to be in the ac cab.
