I bought a new 2012 5093e with 563 loader last march. I was impressed with the new cab layout and some areas of the tractor looked alittle more heavy built. I considered a M series but couldn't justify the extra cost. I added the right hand door. It was one of the best things I did. I use it all the time. I added mirrors later on in the hay season because I was out on the road alot. This helped to see around the baler and wagon on the road. The other options I added was the power reverser modulator and wheel weights and fluid. It dynoed at the dealer at 88 pto horse power.
I have put 175 hours on it so far. I feel it has plenty of power to do whatever I need right now. It will do 22.8 mph on the road. My first impressions was that it is somewhat light in the rear end. The tractor will dig and move dirt like crazy. It handled the IH 3309(same as New Idea 5209)and a Vermeer 5410 without any trouble at all. It pulled my 11 round bale wagon with ease.
It took some time to get use to my first turboed tractor. I was use to useing an Oliver 1655 and White 285. They are 6 cylinders that could lug down low and pull out of it. I just love the tractor. With 0 percent financing it was hard to buy used and wanted to buy before full emissions made it to the e series. When your in the hayfield and the bugs and dust are flying around it is nice to be in the ac cab.

That is a NICE looking tractor, congratulations! It seems like the newer E series are starting to really show up a lot on TBN! Do you have any pics of inside the cab?

If I may ask. What did you pay for that beautiful tractor.
Thanks

Is it just me or does mike23 sound like a John Deere Salesman?

I don't have any pics of the cab but I willl get some soon. Its kind of dirty from use. I paid 51000 for it with 4 years financed. I'm far from being a John Deere salesman. I've lived on a farm my whole life and drove many different brands Oliver ,White,MasseyFergeson,International. They all are good tractors but I wanted a new one and I thought the ergonomics layoutof the controls was nicer on the John Deere. I had an opportunity for some off farm work and needed a tractor and equipment.

Great to hear that your new JD is everything you were lookin' for! I seriously considered the cabbed e series when I was in the market for a new tractor. However, many of the latest options on the 2012 e models were only available on the M series at that time. I figured that a NEW tractor would likely be a one-time purchase -- better to get as many options and creature comforts as I could afford -- so, I dropped down to a 75M.

No regrets there, either.

If john deere hadn't upgraded the cab I would have looked for other tractors. Most likely an older M or another tractor brand. I'm like you this is definately the only new tractor I will buy anything else will have to be used. It still is not as nice as the M. I know I would have liked the hi/lo shift button on the transmission and the electric three point hitch plus the extra weight. It is a compromise of what I could afford vs what I wanted.
