2013 john deere 5075E and others
So I bought a new 2013 5075E in 2014. 0 hours. I knew still was a basic intro level tractor when I bought it and that's what I wanted. No cab, no FWA. I added at the dealer, 5 suit case weights and bracket, fluid in rears, (no calcium) an extra set of remotes, and a block heater. With a half tank of fuel and me not on she weights 6890. On a scale not a spec sheet. I added a canopy and floormats myself. It dyno'ed at 71HP. The only warranty issue was a dry rotted and leaking rubber fuel line. Dealership fixed no charge and while they where they replaced the starter. The starter had preformed flawlessly but they said there has recall. New one works 100% too. Before it went out of warranty I hauled it the dealership to give it a once over. Everything checked 100%. Dyno'ed again at 78HP. The salesman told me after some hours running I needed to tighten radiator hose clamps because of leakage. It did and I did and no issue since. The first 100 hours or so it really liked the fuel, nearing the 4 gallon per hour. But since then it has calmed down to the 2.5-3 gallon per hour. Not idling around, PTO rpm full load, 2450-2550rpm. Most of the 400 hours has been pulling a heavy 10ft drag twin spindle bush hog. I have also pulled a new JD 459E round baler with it, no problem. Many other farm chores. No issues. The R to 2nd shift is slick and smooth the other gear shifts not so much. But they don't say its synchronized. Intake heater works well and block heater works better. I would like to see a light on the dash that indicates preheater is on. Also a better way to check hydraulic fluid. Its so clear I have a hard time seeing it, maybe a sight gauge. Two of the screws that hold the heat shield on the exhaust vibrated out and where lost.(replaced) The rpm gauge sensor/needle will not function reliably in cold weather. When it warms up it will. I'll replace. Good tractor for the money, glad I bought it.

How hard is the clutch to push in? How noisy is the tractor? what fuel usage under light loads loke raking hay? Any additional issues to report since your 2018 post? Thanks Soggy !

665 hrs on the unit when I fed cattle with it this afternoon. Clutch is easy to work, brake pedals have a lot more free travel than I'd like. Dealership says can't adjust it out. Pedal doesn't bottom out and it will lock the tires. Just more travel than I'd like. Noisy? Yes, but I knew that when I bought it. Never operated a 3 cylinder tractor that wasn't regardless of color. Put in the earplugs and drive on. Fuel use. Full load pulling a heavy 10 ft single wing rotary mower, JD 459E baler, etc 2-2.5 gallon hr at PTO rpm plus a fuzz. Rake or tedder probably close to a gallon to 1.5. I'm still mindful to keep check on radiator hose screw clamps. The heating and cooling of the engine will loosen them and you will lose "some" antifreeze. Salesman told me that before I bought it. I put about a 100 or so hours or about 150 gallons of fuel through it a year. Very satisfied with it, would buy again. 99.9% of the hours have been put on there by me, only JD filters and Rotella 15w40 oil. Anything else just holler back.

I take it you didn't get economy PTO?

SBO
IMHO later model JD 3 cyl powered tractors are a lot noisier when operating than the earlier 3 cyl JD tractors such as models 1020,1520 & 2040/2240 which I sold/serviced when they were brand new.

My Orange 64 pto hp tractor utilizes 2.5 GPH of fuel & my JD 4255 (120 pto) with 11,440 hrs on hr meter utilizes 3.2 gph of fuel baling 4X5.5 rd bales

On subject of brakes has anyone attempted lately to bleed the brake system on your tractor?

I got a very base model 5075E so I don稚 think the E PTO was an option for that set up. I would not have paid extra for it.

Good to here from you Tx Jim. Calving down there yet? I did mention bleeding the brakes to shorten the travel to the dealership. They said it would not help, go figure.

Thank you same here. Due to the fact that I only have limited # of pasture acres my calving season is sort of year around. Bleeding brakes may not solve the problem but bleeding is relatively easy to perform & remove any doubt of any air being present in braking system.

I own the same tractor. Maybe a year older, a couple hundred more hours.
I could of written the same review.
Tighten hose clamps -check.
Had starter replaced at 30 hours, it actually failed -check.
Brakes have never been soft, but they did bind once when new, dealer’s tech came to house, adjusted them.
Watch for cracks on the rubber boots around the shifters.

Economy PTO is only paired with the Power Reverser Trans.

I see u stated 2450-2550rpm : I tried a 5075E before buying a 5085E & it would only rev about 2300rpm with foot or throttle lever.
