I have a 2014 5065e with 400 hours on it. Been kept inside. The FEL lever is sticking some when raising. It doesn't do it every time and is easy to push back to center but it is a little dangerous when navigating through the barn, etc. I have removed the spool and polished with emery cloth and it stopped for a few minutes. I did it again and it is back to the same thing. When it sticks, it really feels like it is on the lever side, maybe right where the cable attaches to the piston or the piston itself. I have read multiple threads on this and many have lubed, sprayed, changed out SCVs, but I do not want to spend $1600 for a new SCV without knowing it is the issue 100% first. I would like to remove the top boot right under the lever but can seem to figure out how. Does it have some type of twist lock? How is it attached to the lower section? Anyone ever had the lever stick at this place? I have lubed the cables good and they seem fine. Any other suggestions? Below is the diagram. I am trying to remove part 3 from 5. Thanks for anyone's help!

Looking at the drawing I see holes in key at 4 & 10 o'clock. I wonder if something in key snaps in those holes??? Maybe it's not designed to come apart???

Have you swapped the cables at the spools to see if the raise lower sticks using the dump/curl of the joystick? That would confirm it's the raise lower spool of the valve.

If now (with cables swapped) the dump curl sticks, (using the raise/lower of the joystick) you know the problem is the joystick or the cable.

I removed the boot below hand lever ( No3 in diagram)and sprayed cables with silicone lube, and also at valve under tractor. fixed my sticking issues

I figured out how to remove the boot. I was too stupid to realize the rubber part was just pulled over the hard plastic. It痴 clean as new inside but I sprayed it with silicone but it didn稚 help a bit. Will try to swap cables to see if it make a difference. This loader has about 100 hours on it and has never been kept outside. Makes no sense why this happens.

I had the same problem with my 2011 5055e. I could pull back to raise the loader, take my hand off the lever and it would continue to raise. I shut off the engine and removed the pin that ties the linkage to the valve itself. Restarted the engine and the loader raised even with the control lever disconnected. My JD dealer replaced the valve assembly after trying unsuccessfully to rebuild it.
This was several years ago and done under warranty. So far all is well.

I have a 2009 5055e with the same problem. Dealer replaced the valves the first year under warranty. It did it a few more times after that, but has aparently "worn-in" because it doesn't do it anymore. I have about 750 hrs on the tractor and it sits outside most of the time.
