I would like to buy a 5045d with 553 fel

located in South Central Ohio

What price should I be able buy this tractor before rebates and taxes

This will be my first new tractor

I need some help,

My suggestion to you would be to start at the John Deere site to price out list price with the options you want. I would not want to suggest a price without knowing what options you want. I would then go to site like machinefiner.com, fastline.com and tractorhouse.com to see prices. These sites may include loaded rear tires. I would drive one if you have not done so already, interesting transmission how one gets to reverse and going forward is not synchronized. Details on John Deere site. Always willing to spend someone elses money, but if you are going to do much loader work, you may want to consider 5045E (MFWD). Again drive this, another interesting transmission, not synchronized going forward.

shifting from A range to reverse is synchronized and you do not have to stop. Forward and range shifts do require you stop, so B range to reverse requires you stop.

I personally prefer 4WD so I went with a 5055E. I was originally looking at a 5045E, but found out that they are the same tractor with just a larger turbo to produce more HP and the 5055E was only $1000 more than the 5045E. I also found in talking to 4 dealers that they all quoted me the same price and were not willing to budge.
