5020 SCV rebuild

Hi all,

I am working on installing new electrical installation for my 5020 and noted that the SCV valve (the one in front of the dash, not the quick couplers in the back) is leaking significantly between the housing and cover. I am wondering whether this is something I could rebuild myself or is special equipment/ adjustments required? Thank you for the advice.

For a complete rebuild, you would definitely want to have a manual. There are adjustments in the valves requiring a dial indicator and an adjustment plate to hold valves on their seat during adjustment. It is possible to replace some orings and seals without total disassembly and adjustment, but if it has never been rebuilt, it would be a good time to do it to be sure it operates properly.
