Since LS makes New Holland... My tractor is identical (except stickers) to New Hollands "Boomer 35"

Any body know what size oil filter to use for the New Holland Boomer 35 (LS i3040)

Still looking.

Look it up by the Mitsu engine. Just a suggestion. Should work.
I'd bet it is a standard Honda Civic type filter.

LS recommends their oil filter as it has a by-pass built in. In an extremely dirty filter the flow can be reduced to the point of engine damage. If one goes down from oil starvation the filter is the first thing that gets checked. Our service rep says use the LS oil filter but good quality aftermarket fuel, air, and hydraulic filter are OK.

Just to add a thought on the R4041 EZ 50 hr..

I did mine last night and it wasnt too bad. A couple things I found..

1) There are 3 drain plugs for the hydraulic fluid.

2) The manual says it takes 11.4 gallons of hydraulic fluid. I found that it only takes about 10.

3) Oil capacity calls for 1.9 gallons. I found that it only takes about 1.5 with filter.

As for the filters, I used all NAPA brand.

Air: (Inner) NAPA 2985 (Outer) NAPA 6438

Hydro: NAPA 1715

Fuel: NAPA 3128

Oil: NAPA 1064 (has bypass and anti drainback)

NAPA filters were $30.00 more expensive at the store. I found them on line and purchased all of them plus an extra oil filter delivered to my door for $110.23. PM me if you want the site I ordered from.
