Don't know what dealer charges, but I shelled out about $160 +/- for filters & fluids for my DIY 50 hr. Pretty brainless to DIY plus it's a little quality time with your machine. :)

Well, I called my dealer yesterday to ask him how much they usually run, he said for my ck20 gear it would be $150.00. I was thinking alot more than that so it was a pleasant surprise.

Hey Willie, hows everything in the Adirondacks ? I hear you've had a couple frosts already. I have to admit I really miss the mountians and the people up there, but I don't miss the weather at all.

I am not at my 50 hr mark, but I went ahead and picked up some of my filters at the dealer. A Dk45 filter (oil) was about 7, a hydro filter was 17 or 21, the costly filter I didn't buy 61 bucks. They said it is cleanable, so I wanted to check the tractor first to see if it is already on there.

They recommend a complete draining of all fluids, I believe it is about 11.1 gal of hydro - so about 80 bucks or more. Gear oil isn't too salty a price, and the motor oil is cheap enough.

I should have 50 hrs by next week, gotta do a driveway and then some tilling. Too bad the driveway is for family, or it would pay for my service.

I have around 60 hours on my CK20hst. I called my dealer his words were I can do it but why not diy? His cost was 65 over the cost of materials. I think I spent around 175.00. That's filters, oil, fluid, and gear oil. Took a couple hours, but my son was "helping". So time well spent!

Disclaimer: Not saying that I have the right answer but....

I have never owned a trator in my life, but I have wanted one all my life. Fact is, I used to volunteer at the local farm just for my two minutes in that seat. I was young, very young. I have had my tractor for 4mo and have logged 55 hours since then. I love it and have thoughts of desil puffs dancin in my head

Now to the point. I have a Ck25H and I recently completed the service with help from a "moonlighter" from the local trator co. I paid him $50 for his time & travel and supplied the parts/oil myself. I walked out for less than $150. Tractor runs great and all oil levels check out...sweet.

I have never owned a tractor in my life, but I have wanted one all my life. Fact is, I used to volunteer at the local farm just for my two minutes in that seat. I was young, very young. Twelve years later, after finally graduating high school and all, I finally did it and baught one (a tractor worth more than my truck!). I have had my tractor for 4mo and have logged 55 hours since then. I love it, and I have thoughts of diesel puffs dancing in my head

Now to the point. I have a Ck25H and I recently completed the service with help from a friend/dealer technician rom the local tractor co (shh.). I paid him $50 for his time & travel and supplied the parts/oil myself. I walked out for less than $200. Tractor runs great and all oil levels check out...sweet.

Filters $50... Engine Oil $25...Hydraulic Oil $125...............Not paying outragous labor fees....PRICELESS

It is easy!

Sorry for the delay Rockman, haven't been on here much lately. I've relocated outta the 'dacks recently, job transfer to lake country in the southern tier. We did get a cold snap or two followed by unseasonably warm weather lately. Also been dry this summer, the rivers are down right pathetic. Hope the fish found some holes to hide in. But the white stuff is sure to fly soon.....(the good thing is those nasty Black Flies are gone)

Cheers,
WK
