It is time for my 50 hour service. I plan to complete the project next weekend. The one thing holding me back is refilling the 9.7 gallons of transmission/hydraulic fluid. I do not want to hold the five gallon buckets to pour in the little hole in the rear of the tractor. (I believe this is a poor design by Branson)

Anyway, are there any suggestions for a decent fluid transfer pump so I can easily refill the transmission?

Ideally I could use it to transfer diesel out of my 100 gallon storage tank too.

Thanks!

If you have a Harbor Freight, Northern Tools, Rural King, Tractor Supply or anything similar near you, they should have one or more options. Most of them have a small 12V unit for $50 or so.

At my 50 hour service I refilled the tranny using a funnel with a long flex neck. Wired the funnel into an upright position and began pouring. Three five gallon jugs plus a one gallon jug.

I would venture to say - most all tractors have a fill setup just about the exact same as your Branson.

I have a hand pump that drops down into the 5 gal pail, with a hose that will reach the fill neck from the ground.

Same here using a hand pump in a bucket.

I just used a funnel and held the (2) 5 gallon pails with spout top to manually fill via gravity feed. Didn't spill, went faster than I thought.

Same here, my 8050 took 3pails, at the farm the Magnums take 11 pails just a funnel if we where going to do a lot, such as out of a 55 gallon we have a hand pump to use.

Hand pump from Coastal Ranch Supply, about 30 bucks, works fine. I agree, the fill spout is ridiculous. How difficult would it have been to put a decent size fill hole there.....:confused2:
