I still have it and still use it. It is up next for a new interior, paint, etc! Over 10,000 hrs and never had the head off!!!

Long day I could plant 120 acres easy!!! Just another day at the office. :p

Good friend of mine is a large farmer. Just bought a new 24 row high speed planter. Designed to plant at 10mph. Hoping it will plant 7500 acres per year. Also hoping it will allow him to delete one of the other two 24 row planters. I can hardly wait to see it in action.

GPS or no? I love seeing farmers using old equipment vs brand new leased equipment.

Their equipment is GPS guided. They own everything.

Hard to wrap one's brain around the magnitude of their operation. They can't afford to run old equipment. Everything needs to function at it's designed capacity each day. No time for breakdowns, etc. They'll plant 26,000 acres this Spring.

Guess I didn't clarify I was asking the OP.

Whoops,,, sorry......
That truly is amazing in its own way though managing that many acres, on my duck hunting trip to Oklahoma I was amazed how much older equipment I saw in operation. Using my hunt app I was able to see land owners and it seemed like most of the 1 mile blocks were owned and farmed by separate people which is truly small scale by today's standards.

I believe I read a couple years ago that the average age of our farmers is 57. That's farmers who make their living on the land. As this age continues to creep up more and more will be replaced by large farmers rather than smaller individual farmers. As is the way anymore, "go big or go home". :(

No, but I did have a neighbor make the first pass with a GPS. The rest I used row markers. This is the short end of the field. The long end is over a mile long. It is so boring... LOL!!! ;)

I love this old tractor. 15spd power shift and will pull a light 30' disk with ease.
