Subtract 10% to 15% for a real "out-the-door price.

I'd say yes. I paid 25K canadian for mine. I bought it in July 08, and it's an '05 that had 350 hours on when I bought it, 400x, with 3rd rear scv, regular bucket, and not much else. Try and work him down a bit, but seems pretty good to me.

For a practically new unit with diverter I'd say it's a good deal. Great power for the money.

Don't think it has a diverter, does it?? I think it just has the 3rd SCV kit, which has a second lever to control the 3rd SCV. Although if it does, TAKE IT!!! The diverter is around 2K + install.

I think I got around $22,500 or so for my 2005 4720 with 400x with rear valve and plumbing to the front for a grapple and a top cover. Standard bucket with a cutting bar.

Are you having to pay tax on it?

Have them price out the exact one new. I suspect those 160 hours are saving you around $5K.

I just assumed the diverter came with the rear hydraulics because mine came that way (thank God), I wouldn't have a clue how to use a 3rd SCV lever :D

I have a valve on the rear - but no diverter, etc.

OK, I looked up mine. 2004 4720 I paid right at $24K for it and I sold it this year with 250 hours on it for $21K. Maybe I gave mine away, but at the time it seems like a fair deal.

Have you "low balled' them yet?

Hmmm, I just noticed that I have the 3rd SCV lever. Thought that was the PTO selector lever but since I have no mid PTO there wouldn't be one of those. Anyway I use two of the rear hydraulics remotes to operate the blower chute (discharge) and control these with the main SCV lever via diverter. 3rd remote is unused so I guess the lever is for that one. Would not be useful for a blower since one needs two hydraulic lines to control the chute. What implements would make use of the third line? And are there implements that would require all three lines? AFAIK a backhoe only uses two...

If you have a Top n' Tilt set up that uses 2 circuits right there. Anything with caster wheels (landscape rake, blade, etc) would be a use for the 3rd. Some blades have hydraulic angling and offset, so there's 2 right there. Some box blades have hydraulic control of there scarifier teeth.

Your 3rd scv port is still useful, it's just not as convenient to move your hand to a separate lever. That's why I'm looking so hard into electrohydraulic systems so almost everything can be controlled from joystick grip mounted rockers. If I had your set up I'd do exactly as you are.

Just out of interest move one of your blowers QD's to the 3rd port to check if it's working.

Did that and it spun the chute, so it's working. :)
