4720 on a mx8

i see that people run these mowers on the 4720, but how do they hook up, cause the pins don't work on my 3-pt hitch. what am i missing? TIA

The hitch pins on the MX8 can be turned to point inward toward each other. See section 20 of this operator's manual:

i have the offset mower and the pins don't reduce down to 7/8, so i may have to get some pin stock and some bushings?

I didn't realize that there are 3 hitch pin options for the MX-8. Parts 30 & 31 allow it to be used with either a category 1 or 2 hitch. Parts 32 & 33 allow it to be used with category 1 only. These show up in the parts catalog only for the semi-mount, not the offset, however I know that the MX-8 I used on a 4710 several years ago was an offset type and one of these pin options must have been installed.
