After a lot of stressful analysis and tremendous input from many, I've decided to go with a 4710. After testing out the 5105 and 5210, I decided that the slightly smaller size and the manueverbiltiy of the 4710 (love the e-hydro!) tipped the scales enough.
I'll have a 4wd 4710 with R4 tires, e-hyro transmission and FEL (with pallet forks and bale spear) delivered this Monday.
Will post pictures soon after.

Thanks again for the input.

You'll enjoy the versatility of your tractor. What attachments/impliments did you purchase or are planning to purchase?

I purchased a bale spear and pallet forks for the FEL. I already own a grader box and rotary mower (although they are 5" which is narrower than my back wheels, have to talk to the wife about that). I wanted a quick hitch, but it didn't work with my implements.
The first thing I did was go into the barn and try lifting a 1000 lb round bale of hay. With only weight (fluid) in the tires, it easily lifted the bale. Transporting it was also easy. The back tires never even offered to come off the ground. I even tried to bounce the FEL to get the tractor to become unstable, (no "pucker") just a slight bounce in the seat
Love the e-hydro. Compared to the NH I was looking at, the feel of the e-hydro is much smoother. It's also much easier to get off the tractor with it still running. With the NH, you had to put the tractor in Nuetral and apply the parking brake. With the 4710 you can just get off. There's a sensor in the seat that won't allow the tractor to move or PTO to engage. Just hop back on and get to work ( I do apply parking brake ).

I think the 4710 is a fine tractor, best of both worlds, hydro maneuverable, and good power. Since my father in law has a JD 5420, I ended up getting a 4310 for "close quarter" work and mowing. My father in law loves mine. But if we only had 1 machine, I would have a 4710.

Slider,

Enjoy your new "ride". I've got about 40 hours on my 4710 - and it is exactly what I needed. Very nice machine.
