OK- nobody laughs ---RIGHT! - This is my first attempt at entering the world of digital photography and making a picture fly through the air winding up on the other end - I take the picture and then get ready to post as an attachement --- b u t t - picture is 600,000 bytes - looks like the rules say no more than 200,000 bytes - how do this work or am I completely stupid or just un-enlightened??

It sounds like you've got a fairly high quality image sitting on your hard disk. Way too high quality, or resolution, for viewing on the web. All you gotta do is scale 'er down to something more appropriate for this venue.

You probably got some software with your camera, and dollars to donuts it will allow you to choose a new size. If you can, pick something around 640 x 480 for starters, and save it as a jpg file with, say, medium compression/quality. That should give you a more manageable file size.

You probably don't want to over-write your original file, so use the "Save As" option and give it a new name.

medium compression/quality

I found in my software, under File, Options, a way to change the JPEG compression to low, medium, or high quality (it was set on medium). Sure wish I knew what that means. I tried changing it, but couldn't tell that anything changed; i.e., size of file, number of pixels, or appearance.

Bird - that's the 460 backhoe - your looking at the "mounting" side or part that hooks to the tractor. Attached is a view from the rear of the Landpride blade. The barn in the back is 60'X36 - pole barn for hay, horses, toys etc. That was my summer project about 5 years ago. Had help setting the posts and trusses and did the rest my self- fun project.

The "#" was the problem - strange but true - and yes this was the morning after delivery - tires are still shiny when I took these- needless to say that is not the current situation. The morning after the GREEN afrrived the wife immedialty decided that a portait of her new GREEN furniture was in order. Thusly preserved for the future reminders.

gvm. Great pictures./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I used to have a 340 for over 25 years. Great tractor, but old. Your new tractor gives me the yearning for a bigger tractor. I don't have 200+ acres so I'll have to stick with my 2910. Sure would like to hear how your back blade works for you. I have the same model in a smaller size.

Congratulations GVW!

I'm envious and impatient! My somewhat similar rig is still being outfitted at the dealer's...but at least I get to stop-in and check on it whenever I want. Your cab wouldn't keep much snow off of me ( we usually don't have much),... but I bet it would help with the yellow-jackets and dust/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif.

Harv - pics are couple of weeks old but not much change in the white stuff as of the moment. We are having another mild and snowless (along the Colo front range) winter so far. Weather report couple nights ago said that we were 30% YTD behind normal. I will be major league bumed if we don't get one of the 2'+ snow storms that we usually get - so I can really try out the new machine.

John - I agree does kinda look way to shiny in the pictures - however - it now has a vastly more used and abused appearance resulting from the reloction of a bunch of horsey doo-doo and one snow storm. The other extreme was the rear blade on my old tractor that I recently sold - now that was a used blade!
