Good morning, I'm having a major issue with my 47" front quick attach snowblower. It appears the right auger shaft is not engaging inside the gear box? Due to the age of this blower I'm wondering if it is worth trying to repair or look at moving to a larger snowblower for the Kubota 2650?
I do get a lot of snow living in southern British Columbia and using the fel on the Kubota is a pain and am concerned I will tear into the lawn around the house?
I do have the front hydraulics for the Kabuta but looking at front snowblowers they require to much gpm? That leaves me looking at a 3 point, any suggestions on sizing or brands?
Thanks in advance

Also if I do attempt to repair I am assuming the right hand auger shaft will be shot along with the gear box? If I replace the right hand side the left hand side shaft will probably be worn so that should be replaced as well? If I don't replace the left will it wear out the gear box prematurely?
I also have a lot of wear on the 2nd stage thrower so will that also mess with gear box?
The interior gears of the box are not available through John Deer and the cost is over $700 in Canada for the full gear box?
Should all the major working parts be replaced to ensure no early damage is done?

I don't think I would stick than much money in a 47" snowblower. I found a gently used 54" Kubota front blower for $800. Does your Kubota have a mid PTO? It makes my neck hurt just thinking about a rear snowblower!

Yes I believe the B2650 does have the mid running at 2500rpm. I haven't been able to find a front mount online would attach to the fel quick attach with a pto?
Can it be attached to the mid pto?

I doubt you will find a loader mounted blower that uses the mid pto via a driveline. I considered mounting the one I bought on the loader and using a check chain to limit the lift on the loader so the driveline wouldn't get wrecked. Decided to just make a mount for the front of the tractor to keep it up close to the tractor. I saw a Sheyenne hydraulic loader mounted snowblower on a Kubota at a show several years ago. It had a pump that drove off the mid pto. I'm sure there are probably other brands that make similar blowers. I think I saw that Erskine makes one.

When I had the fel quick attach option I thought it would have been easy to install a blower? Unfortunately either have to pull the fel and install a Kubota blower or look at 3 point hydraulic pump and reservoir to increase gpm got a Skidsteer blower? Seems like a costly way to go?
The John Deere 425 with 47" blower worked awesome but not sure if it is worth the time and money to replace? Had anyone done a rebuild on the 47" JD blower?
Thanks and hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!

Yes regardless I will try and pull it apart and try and see what the issues are. Just not sure how far back to go as I have had hard use on it over the last 14 years.
Seems I might be able to get a new one for about$2100 plus shipping down south?
All the parts are quite pricing so it might be the better way to go and use mine for parts as required?

I think you need to take the blower apart and see what the problem is and go from there.

Yes that is on the list before I decide how to proceed. I'm just not a mechanic so not sure if I will be able to tell what is shot and what will be close to be worn out?
Gear box goes for about$600 but looking for some info on what else should be changed if that is the way I end up proceeding.

So the drive shaft will enter the back of gear box which then turns the gears and the shafts for the augers. Is it one shaft that runs both augers or I am assuming a shaft for the left side and another for right side augers?
