Hello All,
Recently posted as to my new tractor, a L3130 with 723 loader and 4690B backhoe. Unfortunately I don't yet have the proper manual for the backhoe, I have the manual for the 4690 backhoe, i.e. not the latest with B designation. The manual I have gives no information on mounting this backhoe to the L3130. This is my first tractor (beyond a craftsman lawn tractor) but something doesn't look right the way the backhoe is mounted. The mast which connects to the top link in particular doesn't look right. Also, the top link bracket appears to be a standard bracket, not reinforced. I'm not really sure if I need a reinforced bracket or not, according to the incorrect version of the manual I have for the backhoe, most tractors need a reinforced top link bracket, but some L series, again it does not specify the L 30 series, do not. So I guess I have to wait until I get the manual to use the backhoe, as I don't want to break this. This is one of the down sides of buying from a dealer several states away. I saved a lot of money, but I'm on my own on getting this straightened out. This is one of those things that you really can't talk through over the phone, although the dealer did try. My last conversation I just asked them to please hurry send me the proper manual.
Oh well, I'm sure I'll get it straightened out soon enough.
