Is anyone pulling a LX6 or a Rhino SE6 with a 4400? If so, will these tractors handle a cutter like this without a loader for front ballast? I am looking for a newer cutter, but I prefer to mow without the loader on.

OK... Let me broaden the question and ask if any one with a 4300, 4400, 4310, or a 4410(or any other similar sized tractor), is pulling one of these mowers without a loader on?

lemme answer the question you didn't ask. I looked at both of these lightweight cutters. I even demo'd an LX6.

You can do it. But front weight still will help. You don't have to use a loader. Loading the front tires, using wheel weights, suitcase weights or fabricateing front weights of your own would help a lot.

Filling the front tires can be almost free, and may not significantly add to compaction.

Free weights (weight lifting barbell weights) can be used if you can find or make a bracket.

To me these light cutters are too light. They are too easily damaged. I would probably look at a heavier 5' cutter first. YMMV!

As you probably are already aware, I pull an MX6 with my 4310, but of course, the loader stays on!
