I have a bush hog brand brush cutter (72 "" squealer ) and everything hooks up nice in regards to the link pins but does the top link just float.

I adjusted it till the I-match accepted the link from the bush hog. does it just ride there and float. If I raise the bush hog all the way up it will slip off. I do have some type of parts to make the bush hog brand quick hitch compatabile but I am a mechanically challenge individual.

just curious

I believe the third/top link is used only to control rotation of the implement. Therefore the lower links do all of the lifting. I would say as long as there is decent engagement on the upper link it will be fine being the i-match/quick hitch will keep it from slipping up and out. Hope this helps.
