4320 box blade

What size box blade should I get for a 2010 4320? I have heard cover your tracks, which on the website is about 7.5 feet. should I go 8? Because of budget and needs i feel like a 6 or 7 would suffice...

Wow the width of your back tires is 7 1/2 feet? I never realized the 4320 had such a wide foot print. But yes you need to at least cover your tracks. I'm also told that with box blades, the heavier the better.

I just purchased a Frontier 65" BB for my B26 and it weighs in at over 500 lbs. I will be picking it up tomorrow. I can only hope my little B26 can handle it.

What tires do you Have? I believe it was 2010 when Deere went to the welded rims on the R4 wheels which only allows two options on tire width -- either narrow at somewhere around 72" or very wide at about 91". I have a 2010 4320 with R4's and didn't want the very wide width so I installed wheel spacers and put the wheels on narrow setting which resulted in 76" rear wheel width. I use a 72" box blade on mine and it works fine. In addition, actual tire tread width is a little narrower than the overall tire width (2 or 3" ?).
Depending on what you are doing, the larger box blades would be ok with proper ballast and the tractor will not lack the hp.

I use a Frontier 72" Box Blade on a little 3038E fairly aggressive with no problem.
With the machines you guys have (4xxx), shouldn't you guys be able to go bigger?

Just a wrap up, you are right ss360, I was reading the max width. So got the tractor in and dealer recommended a 72. Got it all rigged up, and looks good. Thanks again guys!

I have a 4520 which has a wheel base of just under 6 feet (72 inches). I have a 72 inch BB which cover my tracks. I don't think you want anything less than the wheel base or you won't be able to reach the edges of your drive or whatever you are blading. I am very satisfied with mine.

I've got a 2011 4120 and run a landpride bb2572 6 footer. My r4s are set to narrow. Works great. Not a load at all even full.

I used a 6 foot box blade on my 4320 with no problems.
