I wanted to make sure that I had gotten some of the upgrades for my 4310 before they are gone from the pipe.
I figured the most important were the skid plates, but I also wanted the creeper option (SpeedMatch)
I have my Skid Plates mosty installed. They really are nice! They are probably worth the $321 I paid for them... They are heavy plate, include all the hardware and protect very well. There still is access to the filers for servicing. Nice job.
I also got the eHydro tranny upgrades that give you a fancy resume cruise control and the creeper option ( I wanted the creeper, and you have to get the cruise to get it...) It is ~$100 for two switches and a little pigtail. Whew, talk about markup!!! Nieman Marcus would blush! But, I ended up with an extra switch, and it will work as a light switch for my work lights (they are rated at 20A!)
The switches are very easy to install, but a Drememl Cutter would bemuch better than using the utility knife the otherwise fine instructions suggest. That plastic is terribly tough stuff!
The biggest other option that I lack is the midPTO. I think that I would rather find an 18 hp diesel with it's own belly mower than add one to the 4310. I don't think that it would be much more, and than maybe I could actually use something.
I have said before, it would not surprise me that some options disappear for these. Parts will be fine for a long time. I just wanted to be sure that the things that I would want were in my hands before they went away.
I didn't take pictures of the install, because the manual is so good. I will scanit if anybody would like to see it, just pm me!
