I am putting the final touches on the "start-up" file for my 424 ownership and need a small piece of information that I cannot find. I am trying to get as exact as possible weight for my configuration and so far I have tractor R4 tires = 1,830 pounds with fluids. Plus 428 pounds of Rim Guard which is 40 gallons at 10.7 pounds per gallon. And the FEL bucket is 136 pounds. What I am missing is the weight of the rest of the loader. Anyone know the total weight for the front end loader on a 424/324? So far I am at 2,394 pounds without the FEL framework.

Not to be a smart aleck but could you trailer it down to your local landfill and put it on their scale? I plan on doing that when I get my new Yanmar.

Excellent idea! Except I don't have a trailer that can haul it now. I have a scrap yard 3 miles away with scales and should work fine.

Hi there Jam242ti, I'm a very happy 424 owner and I did the same calculations once. The 424 manual states that the YL210 loader weight is 363 pounds, without the bucket. I'm not sure where your bucket weight figure came from. My YL210 FEL manual states 145 for the bucket. So, 508 pounds total, not counting the bolt-on hooks in my case. Hope this helps!

Sure does help. The bucket number came from the website but I'll use your number. I just installed my bolt on hooks last Saturday. As the weekend temperatures climb out of the teens I'm throwing off the covers and getting into the machine shed to customize my tractor. I do like the "weigh it on a scale" approach once I get it customized.

ok with the 3pt quick attach I'm at 2,826 pounds. That's more substantial than expected but welcomed.

Cool! Just an FYI... Not sure if you have or plan on getting a backhoe, but there's possibly some ambiguity in the stated weights of the attachment, given that Yanmar switched sources from Ameriquip to Woods in 2017, when I bought my 424. My manual says 970 lbs, but I'm not sure which maker their referring to. Chances are it's Ameriquip, but there's no telling if the Woods model weighs more or less. Probably a bit more I'm guessing, by the look of it.
