I have a multipart part question.
I think my tractor is an open center? Specks should be 7 gpm @2125 PSI total is 12 gpm but front steering takes 5
I have the power beyond and scv connection which raises my mmm at the back.

If I tie into the mmm connection I will need to bungee cord the valve to make the fluid flow to the control of the log splitter?

If I use the power beyond will I be able to raise and lower with the 3 pt control? When I hook up my back hoe I loose the 3 pt, logic says I would loose it.

Confused and need help! Would also appreciate advice on brands of log splitters.

Use the power beyond. The open center valve basically just allows the fluid to circle through as it should when just the hose is connected to both ports. If you were to disconnect the line you would lose some or all hydraulic function. Essentially the same thing would happen with a non open center valve. I believe most log splitters have that type of valve. But be sure to read about it first. The last splitter I borrowed actually had it stamped on the valve.

With the backhoe (not sure on the 4000 series) but you either a. dont lose the 3pt controls but they are removed because they are in the way or b. there is a micro switch that shuts them down so they don't smash into the backhoe. Not sure which one applies to you.

On the 47 B H the lift arms of 3 pt put it in a cradle and you set pins. Change hoses from PB ro BH on and you loose the 3pt as soon as it is disconnected. No switches or not in the way. I hope this explains a little better.

I could be wring about the switch that the bh hits when mounted. But I thought I read on here somewhere that someones 3pt didn't work after removing their bh thus someone mentioning that switch. Could have been some other model though.

I really have had limited experience on the JD, but I do know when I had the Kubota and didn't get the power beyond line plugged all the way in I had no hydraulics at all.

I would think a dealer should be able to answer that question though about the log splitter and the 3 pt arms, but I am pretty certain I am right about just needing an open center valve to maintain your hydraulic control on the 3 pt.

Not sure on the 4210, but on my 955 the rockshaft is last in line on the hydraulic circuit. So, with the log splitter plugged into the power beyond, when I'm using the log splitter the rockshaft does not work. However, if I'm not using the log splitter the rockshaft works just fine since the oil just passes through the open center log splitter valve. It's not a big deal at all since I'm only using one or the other... never both at the same time. My log splittler has adjustable legs on it so once in position, I set it down it's feet and remove all weight from the 3pt hitch before beginning to use the splitter.
