I stopped by the Colorado Springs JD dealer today to find out about the new 4000 Ten Series and see how the 4710 might compare with the 4700. To my surprise the sales manager knew quite a bit about them. In fact he had been to a sales meeting last week in florida and he actually drove one. He also gave me a four page brocheure on the new Ten Series. It doesn't contain a lot of detail but it certainly gives enough to wet your appetite. The major changes seem to be on the transmission. They call they HST the eHydro because it is now electronically controlled. They also have features called MotionMatch and eTouch controls. The dealer says they have stopped production of the 4700 and the 4710 will be available after the first of the year. He didn't have any price info yet. Anyone heard any info on pricing yet?
