I just completed my 400h service at 430h. I acquired a complete filter set, excluding the inner air filter, with hydraulic, HST, oil and fuel, all branded Daedong, with the outer air filter, a Baldwin, from an ebay seller in TN for an even $110 with free shipping. I changed the front axle oil as well using Shell Spirax S4 TXM and as some have said, I too, found the HST to be less noisy afterwords.
I must say that this tractor never fails to impress me as I was completely oblivious to the fact that the front axle oil level bolt was anything more than an overflow indicator. Much to my chagrin when I removed it and determined it was a site glass.
After 430 hours the fluid was quite clean, I thought. The magnet on the drainage plug nearest the mid PTO revealed a very small account of metallic debris.
I've opted to change my oil to Chevron Delo 400XSP Full Synthetic 5W40, too. I was running Mobil1 synthetic.
A also cleaned out the spark arrestor on the muffler.
In going to cut open the filters when I have time for further inspection as well.
