I was wondering what is a fare price for a 60 inch 3pt snowblower?
I'm trying to get my tractor setup for winter and with all the drifting i really want to have a blower.

What is a fare price for one in mid grade condition?

Thanks for the help

Really depends on the manufacturer. Buhler's are about $2K new and other brands can be had for $1500. Some brands are well over $2K for a 60"
Find out the price of the unit when it was new and go from there.

Back in 2005 when I got my new tractor, the JRW 60" 3pt mounted snowblower was $1800 new and about $1500 used. I went with a new one since it was only a short wait and only October. I have used it extensively for the past 3-1/2 years along side my plow truck but just recently sold the truck since the snow banks were annoying large and decided to use the snowblower only. It will be my only snow removal tool now which means no snow banks and clean cut edges.

Keep checking eBay and Craigslist. I found a good condition 48" blower for $450

Around here a plain jane snow blower in the five to six foot range goes for about $750 to $1000 CDN in reasonable to good shape. Price seems to increase the closer we get to winter:rolleyes:

Exactly ... you are running out of time to get a "summer deal" on one. Just go to Walmart or the other chain stores and they already have Halloween stuff out

I paid 600 for a john deere 666 snowblower that needed a bit of work with a hydraulic spout. I see alot of this size for sale in the 1200 range (mostly Buhlers and Erskines)

Here off the eastern short of Lake Ontario, in the Tug Hill region, we get snow, lots of it. Barnes Corners had over 300 inches last season, and locally where I live we had 220 inches plus. The Watertown NY dealer that sells Kubota and NH carries Smyth snow throwers, a well-make unit from Ontario. They start at $2100 new.

In March 2009 I found a used 3ph 48" Loftness in excellent condition. Loftness is a very well-regarded brand. I bought it for $1200 and had the dealer install a hydraulic motor for chute rotation. Loftness doesn't make 48" units any more (having dropped them last year). Their 60" are somewhere north of $4k new.

Some favor a front-mounted unit, and for Kubota they are usually more than $3300. I will work with this 3ph unit for now because I cannot afford the front-mounted one.

Maintenance is everything. If you find a used unit that has been reasonably cared for, you might be good to go.

I never see them used around here - guess we aren't in the snowbelt enough. Probably a good thing, as I'd be mighty tempted.

Have one for my gravely I've never even hooked up
