I have a 2000 M5700 4WD tractor while moving round bales of hay with a rear fork on the 3 pt. lift, it stop working after the fork accidently jumped over a roll of hay when the fork did not insert the hay properly. The lift did not immediately stop working as I moved several more rolls of hay before it stopped working in the down position. I have check hydraulic hoses, levers, fluid, down speed control, etc. with no problems found. However, the lift control lever seems to move freely as well as the down speed control knob--no pressure! The front end loader has a hay spear mounted and it is working properly as is the PTO. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks!

Could the lever be slipping on the shaft that goes inside the tractor?????

Checked the levers and the pins are in place with everything turning properly. While moving hay today with the front end fork, the 3pt lift raised up all of a sudden (lift control was in the up position) but when another guy turned the down lift speed control knob it feel back in the down position and again will not raise. This guy thinks there must be a valve sticking???

I wonder if the linkage between the 3PT and the control valve was bent or broken when the 3PT raised up all of a sudden.

Edit: Just realized that this is an older thread.
